A ripe pu-erh from Dayi, pressed by the legendary Menghai Tea Factory in the traditional 357 g cake. This is the 2022 pressing, a bold, full-bodied shu made on the factory's decades of fermentation know-how. Where many ripe cakes aim for light and easy, this one leans rich and concentrated.

The character is deep and robust. It pours a thick, full cup led by notes of dark wood, chocolate and dried fruit, with a dense earthy sweetness underneath. As a young 2022 pressing it carries fresh energy and real intensity, and a short rest will round its edges while keeping the strength that defines it.

The liquor is deep, dark red-brown, thick and glossy, coating the mouth with a heavy, smooth texture. Across infusions it stays powerful and stable, holding its depth through many steeps while the sweetness slowly builds into a long, rich finish.

A satisfying cake for drinkers who want their shu strong and full rather than light. Excellent in a focused gongfu session and robust enough to carry a thermos through a long day. Drinkable now and built to deepen further with a few years of rest.
