Organic Mi Lan Xiang (Honey Orchid) Feng Huang Dan Cong Oolong 2026, 25g | Phoenix Mountain, Guangdong
Description
Mi Lan Xiang (蜜兰香), "Honey Orchid", is probably the best-known and most popular aroma type of Feng Huang Dan Cong. For many tea drinkers it is the first Dan Cong they try, and the one they keep coming back to.
As the name suggests, it is known for the combination of honey and orchid: a sweet, floral and fruity aroma, often with notes of ripe peach or lychee, a smooth, rounded body and a long, honeyed finish. The aroma is at its most intense in the first infusions, so short steeps work best.
It comes from the same producer as our other Dan Congs, the best Dan Cong source we found out of about 30. Their teas are very clean, with none of the bitterness Dan Cong can have, which suits the soft sweetness of Mi Lan Xiang especially well.
