Description
A ripe pu-erh from Dayi, pressed by the legendary Menghai Tea Factory in a 300 g cake. This is the 2020 pressing of a clean, classic Menghai-style shu, built on the factory's decades of fermentation know-how and now carrying a few comfortable years of age.
With around six years behind it, the early pile-ferment edge has settled, leaving a clean, balanced cup. Expect notes of wood, dried dates and a gentle natural sweetness, with the smooth earthy depth expected from a well-made shu. The character is even and dependable, easy to drink without any rough notes.
The liquor is deep chestnut-red, thick and glossy, with a soft texture that coats the mouth. Across infusions it stays stable and generous, holding its character through many steeps while the quiet sweetness grows as the session goes on.
