White tea is the least processed of all tea types, simply withered and dried, which keeps it the closest of any tea to the natural plant itself and lets wild old-tree material show its character undisguised. The dry buds are whole, plump and brilliantly green, with the distinctive fragrance of wild tea. Steeped, they release a clear golden liquor with a floral, honey-like aroma and a sweet, fresh taste, carried by an almost creamy mouthfeel. Reviewers single out its peach and apricot notes over a floral background, robust yet delicate, the kind of cup people describe as one of the best they have had.
